From Thursday, we both reported back to our respective work. I thought everything is normal. At peace. But how can that be? There was one thing I had left unattended.
Mr. Shekhar.

I realised it on Thursday night as I saw her phone ringing. It was Mr. Shekhar. Meera looked at me before attending it. I don't know why. I was no one to either stop her or pass some rules to her. Though the call was quickly ended, I had it all written over my face.
Once the call was hung, Meera asked me if I'm worried about her talking with Mr. Shekhar.

I said yes. I said I'm not feeling so good about it. I was honest. Meera hugged me and promised me that she won't give him a chance.
"After all, he's an old man, he didn't last even as you do!" She laughed.

"What do you mean by that? Do I last so less?"

"I said last less, I didn't say you're bad" she reasoned.
I didn't understand.
She explained that she doesn't need me to last very long enough to satisfy her because she loves me. She said I had been the best for her. It was indeed a valid point. Not all men do last like a hunk. But most of their women remain faithful to them.
However, my wife wasn't a faithful one which was already proven. Hence, for me her words, no matter how sugar-coated they were, still sounded like I didn't last good enough.

Good from far but far from good.

But I liked her comment, that Mr. Shekhar was worse than me. I found solace in that. I was happy. In one of that happiest moments, I asked her if she'd dumped her old man live-in partner. Two weeks and many more lovemaking nights had passed by then and I had become supercool. She said yes, as she had rejected a couple of his coffee requests.

"Didn't he ask you why you're saying no?"

I asked.

"Yes he did" she looked at me with a naughty smile.

"And I told him he was pathetic in bed!"

I liked her comment. Afterwards Mr. Shekhar many times became a point of our discussion.

"You should ask him if he were the same when he was young"

She punched me laughing.
We talked like that and each time I gained some confidence in bed. Everything was good between us.

Until that fateful day.
